Definition – “Computer System”
- ICT Act, 2006- “Computer System” is not defined ICT Act, 2006.
- Digital Security Act, 2018- 2(e) “computer system” means a process interconnected with one or more computers or digital devices capable of collecting, sending and storing information singly or being connected with each other;
- Indian IT Act, 2000 -2(L) [“Computer System” means a device or collection of devices, including input and output support devices and excluding calculators which are not programmable and capable of being used in conjunction with external files, which contain computer programmes, electronic instructions, input data, and output data, that performs logic, arithmetic, data storage and retrieval, communication control and other functions;]
- Computer system refers to an arrangement of interconnected computers that share a central storage system and various peripheral devices.
- The following is a state law that provides a statutory framework regarding computer system:
- A computer system includes a set of related computer equipment, devices, data, software, or hardware that is designed to perform a specific function. [KRS § 434.840
